|WHOIS Lookup Script||Home Download Demo Support Contact|
With the pro script you can show an affiliate link to GoDaddy to register available names. You can also show a GoDaddy banner. In both cases you will need to configure the script to include your CJ Affiliate details so that you will get paid commission for any sales generated. It's quick and easy to sign up for a CJ Affiliate account, so no problem if you don't have one.
Basically all you need to do is get the code for a GoDaddy search box from CJ Affiliate and enter some values from it into the script configuration.
Get the code for a GoDaddy search box
Log in to your CJ Affiliate account and click the "Get Links" tab. Select "Links" from the drop-down list and enter "godaddy search box" in the search box:
You will see search results like this:
Go to any one that says "Domain Name Search Box..." and click on the "Get HTML" link in the "Get Links" column at the end:
You will see a pop-up window like this:
In the code, you will see something like this:
...these are the values you need for the script configuration.
Enter the values in the script
As with any configuration of the script, open it in a text editor, make changes then save the file. The configration instructions in the script show you where to put the above values. They go in these variables:
So using the above values in the code they would become:
The value for $gdcj_aid_value comes from this line in the code: <input type="hidden" name="aid" value="10450071"/>
The value for $gdcj_pid_value comes from this line in the code: <input type="hidden" name="pid" value="7523371"/>
The value for $gdcj_isc_value comes from this line in the code: <input type="hidden" name="url" value="https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/registrar/search.asp?isc=cjcdomsb2"/> Where the value is the value following "isc="
GoDaddy banner configuration
The above configuration is all that is required to show an affiliate link. If you would like to display a GoDaddy banner you will also need the banner id. Select a GoDaddy banner from CJ Affiliate and get the code for it.
To see the GoDaddy banners perform a search similar to the above but instead of selecting "Links" from the drop-down list, select "Advertisers" and enter "godaddy" in the search box. Like this:
...you will see this in the results:
Click on the "View Links" link. You will see lots of links for GoDaddy banners. Go to the one you would like to display (supported size is 468x60) and click the "Get HTML" link. You will see a pop-up window like this:
In the window you will see a value for "AID". In this case it's "11123802". This is the value you need for the script configuration for this variable:
...which would become
